Yep....another treasury.

Did I mention I love doing treasuries? This is my latest. I'm usually not a fan of orange but I was coming across some really stunning items and the treasury just came to be.

Some of you know i'm working on an octopus right now. I'm determined to finish it this week....which means that you'll see something other than treasuries posted here. :p

Twitter anyone?

Okay...I caved. I now have Twitter. Feel free to add me if you see this. It's really really boring talking to myself. :p

Another treasury

I've had this treasury prepared as a Poster Sketch for days now. I'm so proud of how it turned out that I was desperate to get a treasury spot last night so I could show it off. LOL! As you can see, I got it! It's currently live so stop by and give me some comment love if you get the chance. :D

Artisan item of the day

I was very surprised to log into byhand.me on Monday to see "Digger" my needle felted koala featured on the site as the "Artisan item of the day". I'd only made an account there the day before so to be noticed so quickly was a real thrill for me.

Check out byhand.me if you haven't already! It's a great and growing community that features interviews, an artisan directory and much more. Take it from me...it's a good way to get your name out there!

Finally an update!

Wow! It's been a long time since i've used this blog. I've given it a makeover and am going to make more of an effort to update it. I've been back on Etsy for about 4 or 5 weeks now and i'm really enjoying it. I've made some great friends in the chat rooms and the community feel of Etsy in general is awesome.

I thought i'd start my 2009 posting with a picture of the Treasury I managed to snag on Etsy a couple of days ago. It's my very first one and i'm really happy with how it looks. I put a couple of my Etsy chat buddies in it as a nod to their awesomeness. ;) Hope you like it!

Hershey

This is Hershey! He was named by Kay Petal from Felt Alive after I requested name suggestions for him when I had a mental blank. He's a 5 way thread jointed bear made with Corriedale and Merino wool. He has german glass eyes and mohair eyelashes.

I'm currently working on another bear who should be making her appearance within the next day or so.

My latest!

This lovely girl is my latest piece of needle felt work. She's based off the bunny that won the award at the Royal Adelaide Show. I intend to do more bunnies in the same design. This one I decided to call "Melody" and she's already been sold and is on her way to live in the USA.

I'm currently working on a brown bear. He'll be 5 way thread jointed. It's been a while since i've thread jointed any of my work so i'm making a few adjustments to him at the moment. He should be finished within the next day or so. I'm looking forward to showing him off. I tend to do a lot of "cartoon" looking critters but this one is a little more realistic looking in the face. Stay tuned to see what the finished product looks like!
